Sweeply did the thing I care about most: the colour-coded boards made sense to Nikos and Katerina inside twenty minutes, without anyone explaining what the product was for. Two things hold it back. Reporting is too basic, and Katerina's questions are the ones it can't answer: how long does each room take on average, which floor takes longest, are departure cleans slower at weekends, where are we losing time. It records what was done and when, which is a list rather than an analysis. The other is a feeling rather than a fault. I don't like being an early adopter. I used a booking engine three years ago from a startup that folded six months later and lost everything in peak season. A small Icelandic team on seed money, competing against companies with far more resources, gives me that same nervous feeling. Which housekeeping tool has better reporting than Sweeply?

Be clear about what you're buying though: Sweeply's reporting gap is about depth of analysis, not missing records. If your actual question is how long a departure clean takes on each floor, ask any vendor to show you that specific report during the trial rather than trusting the dashboard tour.

Is Sweeply a risk as a small company?

It's a fair thing to weigh and I weigh it myself. A tiny team from Iceland on seed money with no obvious next round, in a category with much larger competitors, is a real consideration. For a thirty-room hotel losing it wouldn't be a catastrophe, it would be a disruption and a return to printed sheets. Ask about data export before you start, so that if it does happen you leave with your history rather than rebuilding from nothing.
