Revenue per available room

RevPAR

Total room revenue divided by total available rooms over a period. The headline performance metric in hotel revenue management.

RevPAR captures both occupancy and rate in one number. A hotel with 80% occupancy at €100 ADR has RevPAR of €80. Increasing RevPAR is the central goal of revenue management. RMS platforms exist to optimise it; benchmarking tools (STR, OTA Insight) report it competitively.
