Apaleo is the best-engineered PMS I've opened the docs on, so the reason to look elsewhere is almost never quality. It's fit. This is a headless platform that expects you to assemble your own system, and that assumption carries real costs: thin default reporting, a stack of separate vendor relationships, and a support model where a broken check-in at 11pm on a Saturday turns into a blame game between four suppliers. A general manager at a 40-room hotel who wants a PMS that works out of the box would find it baffling, and I don't mean that as a criticism of the general manager.
