A colleague recommended Breezeway for housekeeping and the scheduling does work, but the whole product thinks in vacation rentals rather than hotel rooms. That shows up everywhere: properties instead of rooms, pricing that multiplies your bedrooms into a portfolio, no audit trail of the kind a hotel needs at a shift handover, and things Katerina simply couldn't do from her phone. My staff could use it, but they shouldn't have to. If you manage holiday lets, this is a decent product and the recommendation was fair. If you run a hotel, the tools built for hotels will fit better and cost less. The housekeeping tools we've paid for and run at our own hotels are below.

What is the best alternative to Breezeway for a hotel?

Anything built for hotels, and I mean that plainly. Sweeply is the one my own staff picked up fastest, with colour-coded boards that made sense to Nikos and Katerina inside twenty minutes. RoomChecking and Hoxell are both European and both model rooms rather than properties, which is the thing Breezeway can't do for you.

Is Breezeway suitable for hotels at all?

It functions, which isn't the same as being suitable. The scheduling works and the mobile app is decent. But you'll be translating between the product's model and your own all day, paying per bedroom as though each were a house, and doing without an audit trail. Every one of those is solved by picking a hotel-native tool instead.

What is a cheaper alternative to Breezeway?

For a hotel, most of the category. Sweeply's Guest Connect starts around €1 per room per month and RoomChecking begins at $199 a month, roughly $2.50 per room. Against the near-$600 a month my thirty rooms would cost on Breezeway's small portfolio rate, the comparison isn't close.
