- Works out around $2.50 per room per month depending on property size. A published starting figure, which after a run of vendors in this category who won't name one is a small mercy.

- Available above the entry level. As ever, the detail arrives in a conversation rather than on a page.
There's a free trial but no free tier, so you can test properly before committing without running it indefinitely on nothing. For a 45-room property, $199 a month isn't expensive if it saves your supervisor half an hour a day and stops the sort of miscommunication that puts a guest into an uncleaned room. That's happened to me twice in four years, both times because a paper handover failed between shifts. A digital system that catches those failures is worth real money. Whether this particular one earns it depends less on price than on whether your staff can read it, which is a separate problem I'd test first.
Sweeply pricing

- A full month, which is long enough to cover a real changeover weekend rather than a quiet Tuesday. For a seasonal property that's the difference between a demo and a test.

- The published module, and at thirty rooms that's €30 a month. Modest enough that the decision comes down to whether the tool works for your staff rather than whether you can afford to find out.
Modular, so you pay for the parts you switch on, and the published rate starts low. After being caught out by a surprise line on a different vendor's invoice, I asked what the full configuration would cost rather than the entry module, and I'd suggest you do the same before the trial ends. The thirty days matter more than the euros here. Use them on a busy week, with the staff who will actually use it, not with you clicking through it alone in the office.

RoomChecking
I tested RoomChecking across my three English properties because the flexibility promise sounded right for multi-property operations. Some of that promise held up. Some of it didn't survive contact with a Tuesday morning housekeeping briefing.

Sweeply
I handed Sweeply to Nikos and Katerina and watched. The colour-coded boards made sense to both of them inside twenty minutes. But the reporting left me wanting, and I still don't know many small hotels using it.
