Sub-processor
A third party engaged by a software vendor to process guest data on behalf of the hotel.
Sub-processors include hosting providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), email senders (SendGrid, Postmark), payment processors (Stripe, Adyen), analytics tools, and any other downstream service that touches guest data. Vendors are required under GDPR to maintain a sub-processor list and notify customers of changes. The longer the sub-processor list, the more places guest data can end up.
