How the pricing is structured

Per-room platform fee

Quote only

Calculated per room across every property in the agreement, with the per-room rate falling as the portfolio grows. You reach it through a calculator that wants your room count and PMS, or by ringing Vienna. Until 2026 this was a published flat tier grid.

Setup fee

One-off, per property, quote only

New since our review. The figure varies with the PMS connection type and whether implementation is remote or on site, and it is not published in any form.

WhatsApp usage

Charged on top

One WhatsApp inbox is included; additional inboxes cost extra. Unlimited team members with no per-agent fee and no AI usage fee, which is the part chatlyn does still state plainly.

chatlyn withdrew its published pricing during 2026. What our review recorded, flat tiers from around €61 a month for Light up to €311 for Advanced, is no longer on the site, and a per-property setup fee has appeared that we never had to account for. The company defends the change on its own pricing page: it says the honest answer depends on your rooms, your PMS and how implementation runs, and it would rather quote against your actual setup than publish a number most properties would have to correct. That is a better argument than most vendors bother making. It still means you cannot compare chatlyn against a rival without handing over your details first.

chatlyn removed its published tiers and went quote only

No figures anywhere. A quote calculator asks for your room count and PMS, or you ring Vienna. Platform fee is now per room across the properties in an agreement, with a one-off setup fee per property that varies by PMS connection and whether implementation is remote or on site. WhatsApp usage is charged on top, and one WhatsApp inbox is included.

Our review had
Flat tiers from around €61 a month (Light) to €311 (Advanced), plus WhatsApp message costs.
Direction
Less open

The flat tier grid is gone and so is every number. chatlyn has replaced it with a per-room model quoted against your setup, and has added a setup fee that did not appear in our review at all. The company explains the move on the page: "Because the honest answer depends on your rooms, your PMS and how the implementation runs. Rather than publish a number most properties would have to correct, we quote against your actual setup." That is a more thoughtful defence than most vendors offer, and it is still a hotelier who can no longer find out what chatlyn costs without giving up their contact details. Anna rated chatlyn a 7 partly on its European openness. This is a step away from that.

Common questions

How much does chatlyn cost?

Flat monthly tiers running from around €61 for Light to about €311 for Advanced, plus WhatsApp message costs which are billed separately and depend on your volume. Because the tiers are flat rather than per room, the effective cost per room falls as your property gets larger.

Is chatlyn cheap for a small hotel?

At €61 a month for the entry tier, it's one of the more accessible ways to run EU-hosted omnichannel messaging. Add your expected WhatsApp conversation costs before you decide, because for a busy property those can outgrow the subscription itself.

Are WhatsApp costs included in chatlyn's pricing?

No, and no vendor in this category includes them, so treat any comparison that ignores them as incomplete. WhatsApp charges by conversation and the rate varies by country, which means your guest mix affects your bill. The subscription is the predictable part; the messaging is not.
