Canary Technologies vs Quicktext

The facts side by side, what each one costs tier by tier, and which of the two we'd pick. Both have been paid for and run at a working European hotel.

The short version

On our hands-on ratings, Quicktext takes it overall, 6/10 against 5/10.

Canary Technologies is built for large US hotel chains wanting a full guest management suite. Quicktext is built for hotels wanting a European AI chatbot with direct booking conversion.

Which we'd pick

Different jobs: Quicktext converts website visitors, Canary manages arrivals.

These barely compete. Quicktext is a French AI chatbot pointed at direct bookings, and Thomas tracked about 9% of availability conversations turning into one. It is EU-hosted, the knowledge base takes two or three minutes to update, and roughly 1,800 hotels run it on barely $1M of funding. Canary is a US guest management suite built around contactless check-in, identity capture, upselling and digital tipping.

If the question is which to buy, it usually is not a choice between these two at all. If it is, the jurisdiction question decides it for European properties, because Canary has no EU hosting and holds passport scans under US law. Both have weak spots worth knowing: Canary's messaging is robotic and its ID capture blurry, while Quicktext's WhatsApp feels like a website widget moved into a messaging app, its PMS integration only runs one way, and it now trades as Quinta and costs from $299 a month, quoted in dollars to European buyers.

Canary has never published a price and still does not. What has changed since our review is that the roughly $99 a month entry reference we recorded is no longer anywhere on the pricing page, so even the rough starting figure has gone. The three tiers are clearly described and every one of them ends in a get quote button. For a company of Canary's size, with over 20,000 properties and $175M raised, declining to state a single number is a choice rather than a constraint.

Quicktext pricing

Premium From $299/month
The only tier shown, priced on room count. Bundles eleven products under the new Q- naming, Q-Data, Q-Channel, Q-SEO, Q-Sales, Q-Task, Q-Connect, Q-Hub, Q-Automate, Q-Mail and Q-BI, alongside the fourth-generation Velma chatbot.

Two things moved at once. The rebrand Thomas described as half-finished is now complete: quicktext.im redirects permanently to quinta.im and the site brands itself Quinta throughout, so his complaint about both names circulating is out of date. And the headline price moved from roughly €250 a month to $299, quoted in dollars. For a Paris company selling mainly to European hotels that is worth noticing, because you now carry the exchange risk on a monthly subscription. The product names in our review no longer match the vendor's either.

Prices as last verified during each review. Hotel software pricing moves, and per-room rates behave very differently at 20 rooms and at 200, so run the arithmetic at your own room count. Full detail on Canary Technologies pricing and Quicktext pricing.
